Wave Murano Glass | Fowey Fishery

coloured glass discs made for scallop shells

Glass Disks made in collaboration with glass blower Benjamin Lintell and Wave Murano Glass.

Molten glass is rolled into waste scallop shell powder and then hand-blown, creating a unique bubbly milky texture. This project was to experiment with the different applications of shell waste within glass making, from using it as one of the main ingredients to it becoming a more decorative feature.
